Tasmania regulation
This order removes the Mineral Resources Development Act 1995 from applying to the land listed in Schedule 1 (the Beaconsfield exempt area), effective on the day the order is notified in the Gazette (ss 2–3). It therefore excludes that specified area from the MRDA regulatory regime for all minerals. The Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources administers the order; a plan showing boundaries is attached as Schedule 2, so practical effects hinge on the mapped area and its legal interpretation.
