60C Exploration without licence

[Section 60C Inserted by No. 74 of 2001, s. 14, Applied:30 Oct 2001] [Section 60C Substituted by No. 24 of 2013, s. 67, Applied:28 Jun 2013] A person must not, on an area of land comprised in a licence, explore for minerals to which the licence relates, unless the person –

(a) is the holder of the licence; or

(b) is authorised by the holder of the licence to explore for the minerals; or

(c) is exploring for the minerals under a contract of service, or a contract for services, with the holder of the licence; or

(d) has obtained the written consent of the holder of the licence.

Penalty:  Fine not exceeding 100 penalty units.
