6 Contributions while on leave without pay in connection with birth of child etc
A member who is on leave without pay for a period exceeding 21 days which was granted to him or her in connection with: (a) the birth of a child of the member; or (b) other termination of the pregnancy of the member; or (c) the adoption of a child by the member; may, before the expiration of the period of leave without pay, elect to pay contributions, calculated under rule 8, in respect of so much of that period, not exceeding 9 months, as is specified in the election.
