353T  Fees for witnesses  (1) A person, other than the applicant, summoned to appear as a witness at a hearing before the Board is entitled to be paid, in respect of the person’s attendance, fees, and allowances for expenses, fixed by or in accordance with the regulations in respect of the attendance.  (2) Subject to subsection (3), the fees and allowances are to be paid:  (a) in a case where the witness was summoned at the request of the applicant—by the applicant; or  (b) in any other case—by the Commonwealth.  (3) The Board may, in its discretion, order that the fees and allowances of a witness referred to in paragraph (2)(a) are to be paid, in whole or in part, by the Commonwealth.
