157  Definition of example period for the civilian component of normal earnings  (1) For the purposes of this section 156 and the definition of civilian days in section 158, the example period for an incapacitated person is the latest period of 2 weeks:  (a) during which the person was continuously engaged in civilian work; and  (b) ending before the person last ceased to be a member of the Defence Force. if the civilian daily earnings for the example period under subsection (1) would not fairly represent the daily rate at which the person was being paid for his or her civilian work before last ceasing to be a member of the Defence Force.
