Commonwealth legislation
This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.
This determination confirms that all eight Australian states and territories may participate in health-waiver arrangements for certain skilled migration visas (subclasses 846, 855, 856, 857), replacing the 2009 instrument. It lets sponsoring jurisdictions agree to cover specified health costs so the Minister can set aside normal health barriers. Affected parties are those visa applicants and the state/territory governments that sponsor them.
