Commonwealth legislation
This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.
This instrument designates the Australian Capital Territory and Victoria as participating states/territories able to sponsor visa applicants with health conditions that would otherwise exceed the migration "significant cost" threshold.
It affects applicants for four specified employer‑sponsored visas (subclasses 846, 855, 856, 857): if ACT or Victoria agrees to cover the public health costs, a health waiver can allow the visa to be granted.
