This instrument sets the official list of occupations (ANZSCO 6‑digit codes) that Australian employers can nominate for Subclass 457 (Business Long Stay) and Subclass 442 (Occupational Trainee) visas. Schedule 1 covers both visas; Schedule 2 applies only to Subclass 442; some broad categories include specific exclusions. It affects sponsoring businesses, visa applicants, migration agents and processing officials and acts as the gatekeeper for nominations. Effective 1 July 2010.
