Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This instrument formally defines as a single "class of persons" anyone granted a Bridging E visa (subclass 050 or 051) under the Minister’s section 195A power. It covers immigration detainees released into a temporary Bridging E visa in the public interest. The classification matters because it determines applicable visa conditions, rights and processing, and it updates/replaces an earlier 2012 decision to keep the legal framework current.
