sec.22 Functions

The commissioner has the following functions— to independently consider and decide each application for a cultural recognition order; to ensure the proper, efficient and effective performance of the office; to provide advice, or make recommendations, to the Minister about the operation of this Act and the office; to promote public awareness of the commissioner’s functions and the office; to advise the registrar of each cultural recognition order made by the commissioner; any other function conferred on the commissioner under this Act or another Act.

(a) to independently consider and decide each application for a cultural recognition order;
(b) to ensure the proper, efficient and effective performance of the office;
(c) to provide advice, or make recommendations, to the Minister about the operation of this Act and the office;
(d) to promote public awareness of the commissioner’s functions and the office;
(e) to advise the registrar of each cultural recognition order made by the commissioner;
(f) any other function conferred on the commissioner under this Act or another Act.
