550 Monitored leave conditions, duration and variation
(1) The Justice Secretary may grant monitored leave under section 549 subject to any conditions that the Secretary considers necessary—
(a) having regard to the purpose of the monitored leave; and
(b) if satisfied, on the evidence available, that the health and safety of the security patient and the safety of any other person will not be seriously endangered as a result.
(2) The Justice Secretary may vary the monitored leave conditions or the duration of the monitored leave if the Secretary considers this necessary—
(a) having regard to the purpose for which the leave is granted; and
(b) if satisfied, on the evidence available, that the health and safety of the security patient and the safety of any other person will not be seriously endangered as a result.
