362 General procedure of the Mental Health Tribunal
(1) The Mental Health Tribunal—
(a) is not bound by the rules of evidence; and
(b) is bound by the rules of procedural fairness; and
(c) may inform itself on any matter as it sees fit; and
(d) must conduct each proceeding as expeditiously and with as little formality and technicality as the requirements of this Act, the regulations and the rules and a proper consideration of the matters before it permit.
(2) Subject to this Act, the regulations and the rules, the Mental Health Tribunal may regulate its own procedure.
