166 Information to be given to assessment patient in relation to extension of assessment order
As soon as practicable after an authorised psychiatrist extends an assessment order, the authorised psychiatrist must ensure that all reasonable steps are taken—
(a) to inform the assessment patient that the order has been extended; and
(b) to explain the purpose and effect of the extension to the assessment patient; and
(c) to give a copy of the extended order to the assessment patient.
