85Discharge of prisoners

85 Discharge of prisoners (1) A prisoner must not be detained in an approved treatment facility after the prisoner's sentence of imprisonment expires unless the prisoner is otherwise detained in the facility under this Act.

Mental Health and Related Services Act 1998 84 (2) A prisoner who is in an approved treatment facility as a voluntary patient or involuntary patient must not be discharged from the facility before the prisoner's sentence of imprisonment expires unless it is for the purpose of returning the prisoner to the custody of the Commissioner of Correctional Services.
