#### 83 Orders for release of forensic patients 83 Orders for release of forensic patients > > (1) An order for release of a forensic patient under this Division may be made despite any other provision of this Act or any order of a court under this Act. > > > (2) Despite subsection (1), the Tribunal must not order the release of a forensic patient if the patient is a person who has been remanded in custody pending the person’s return to court but may make a recommendation to the court as to the person’s release. > > > (3) Despite subsection (1), the Tribunal must not make an order as to the unconditional release of a forensic patient who is subject to an extension order or interim extension order but may make a recommendation to the Supreme Court as to the variation or revocation of the extension order.
