#### 43 Actions pending inquiry 43 Actions pending inquiry > The court may do one or more of the following before holding an inquiry— > > > (a) adjourn the proceedings, > > > (b) grant the defendant bail in accordance with the [Bail Act 2013](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2013-026), > > > (c) order the defendant to be remanded in custody for a period not exceeding 28 days, > > > (d) order the defendant to undergo a psychiatric examination or other examination, > > > (e) order that a psychiatric report or other report relating to the defendant be obtained, > > > (f) discharge a jury constituted for the purpose of the proceedings, > > > (g) make other orders the court thinks appropriate.
