60 Criteria for making restriction order with psychiatric In addition to making a psychiatric treatment order in relation to a person, the ACAT may make a restriction order in relation to the person if it believes on reasonable grounds that— (a) it is in the interests of the person’s health or safety or the safety of someone else or the public to do so; and (b) the treatment, care or support to be provided under the psychiatric treatment order cannot be adequately provided in another way that would involve less restriction of the freedom of choice and movement of the person.
