11 Timing of actions

(1)  [Section 11 Subsection (1) substituted by No. 59 of 2016, s. 7, Applied:01 Jul 2017] Where this Act requires an action to be taken, then, unless the contrary intention appears, the action must be taken as soon as practicable.

(2)  For the purposes of subsection (1)  –

(a) it is irrelevant whether the requirement is mandatory or directory; and

(b) it is irrelevant how the requirement is expressed or described.
