#### 29 Treatment of persons detained in mental health facilities 29 Treatment of persons detained in mental health facilities (cf 1990 Act, s 31) > A person who authorises the administration of any medication to a person detained in a mental health facility under this Division— > > > (a) must have due regard to the possible effects of the administration of the medication, and > > > (b) must prescribe the minimum medication, consistent with proper care, to ensure that the person is not prevented from communicating adequately with any other person who may be engaged to represent the person at a mental health inquiry.
