#### 23 Employment of staff under this Part by political office holders 23 Employment of staff under this Part by political office holders > > (1) This Part extends to a member of Parliament who is a political office holder. > > > (2) However, a member of Parliament who is a political office holder— > > > > > (a) is not authorised to employ persons under this Part to assist the member in exercising his or her functions as a political office holder, and > > > > > (b) is not, if the member employs persons under Part 2, authorised— > > > > > > > (i) to employ persons under section 14 if the member is a member of the Legislative Council, or > > > > > > > (ii) to employ persons under section 15.
