#### 4 Determination that parliamentarian may employ personal staff (1) The Prime Minister may, in writing, determine that, having regard to the parliamentary duties of a parliamentarian, the parliamentarian may employ personal employees under subsection 11(3). > Note: The determination has the effect of making the parliamentarian an office‑holder (see paragraph (c) of the definition of office‑holder in section 3). Office‑holders may employ personal employees (non‑Ministerial) under subsection 11(3). (2) A determination made under subsection (1) is not a legislative instrument.
