24 Meaning of doctor and NT doctor (1) A doctor is a medical practitioner. A medical practitioner is defined in section 17 of the Interpretation Act 1978 to be a person registered under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law to practise in the medical profession (other than as a student). (2) An NT doctor is a doctor who practises in the Territory.
