sec.260 Proceedings for former offences

This section applies in relation to an offence against a provision of the Health Act or Pest Management Act committed by a person before the commencement. Without limiting the Acts Interpretation Act 1954 , section 20, a proceeding for the offence may be continued or started, and the person may be convicted of and punished for the offence, as if this Act had not commenced. Subsection (2) applies despite the Criminal Code, section 11. An analysis completed under section 273 may be used in relation to the proceeding to the extent otherwise authorised under the Health Act or Pest Management Act .
