40 Obligation on Future Fund Board in performing investment functions

In performing its Medical Research Future Fund investment function, the Future Fund Board must (subject to this Act and a direction under subsection 39(1)) seek to: (a) maximise the return earned on the Medical Research Future Fund over the long term, consistent with international best practice for institutional investment; and (b) enhance the Commonwealth’s ability to provide grants of financial assistance to support medical research and medical innovation.
