#### 76B Delegation by Secretary (1) The Secretary may, in writing, delegate all or any of the functions or powers of the Secretary under this Act or a legislative instrument made under this Act to any of the following persons: (a) the Chief Executive Medicare; (b) an SES employee, or an acting SES employee, in the Department or the Department administered by the Minister administering the Human Services (Centrelink) Act 1997. > Note: Sections 34AA to 34A of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901 contain provisions relating to delegations. (2) In performing a delegated function or exercising a delegated power, the delegate must comply with any written directions of the Secretary.
