36Regulations

#### 36 Regulations (1) The Governor‑General may make regulations, not inconsistent with this Act, prescribing matters: (a) required or permitted by this Act to be prescribed; or (b) necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying out or giving effect to this Act. (2) The regulations may make provision for or in relation to a matter by applying, adopting or incorporating, with or without modification, a provision of: (a) an Act of a State or Territory; (b) an Ordinance of a Territory; (c) a regulation or rule made under such an Act or Ordinance; (d) an order made under regulations made under the Export Control Act 1982; or (e) an order made under regulations made under this Act; as in force at a particular time or as in force from time to time. (3) A power conferred by this Act to make modifications by regulation includes the power to omit any matter or add any new matter.
