#### 22 Inspection of meat brought into State or Territory to which Act extends (1) Subject to the regulations, where, in trade or commerce, a person brings meat included in a class of meat prescribed for the purposes of this subsection, being meat that is intended for human consumption, into a State or Territory to which this Act extends, the person shall forthwith take the meat, together with any covering in which the meat is contained, to an abattoir or meat processing plant, being an abattoir or meat processing plant prescribed for the purposes of this subsection, for inspection by an authorized officer. (2) Subject to the regulations, where, in trade or commerce, a person brings meat included in a class of meat prescribed for the purposes of this subsection, being meat that is intended for use as animal food, into a State or Territory to which this Act extends, the person shall forthwith take the meat, together with any covering in which the meat is contained, to a knackery or animal food processing plant, being a knackery or animal food processing plant prescribed for the purposes of this subsection, for inspection by an authorized officer. (3) A person who contravenes subsection (1) or (2) is guilty of an offence.
