16 Notice of request to be served on magistrate

(1) If a person requests under subsection 17(1) of the Act that an application made to a magistrate be re‑heard, the person must give a copy of the request to the magistrate within 7 days after the request is lodged in accordance with subsection 15(3). (2) If a magistrate is given a copy of a request under subsection 17(1) of the Act that an application made to the magistrate be re‑heard by a Judge, the magistrate must cause the documents relating to the inquiry to which the request relates (including any transcript of the evidence given at the inquiry) to be forwarded to the Judge.
