#### 89 Recognised security organisations may conduct ISSC inspections (1) The Secretary may, by writing, authorise a person to whom powers and functions can be delegated under subsection 88(1) to conduct inspections of ships for the purposes of verifying that ships meet the requirements necessary for ISSC verification. (2) If a person authorised under subsection (1) conducts a ship inspection, the person is taken to be a maritime security inspector for the purposes of subsection 83(1).
