#### 68 Offence—owner causing etc. breach of a condition of a certificate of competency (1) The owner of a domestic commercial vessel commits an offence if: (a) the owner causes or permits another person to perform duties or functions in relation to the vessel; and (b) the performance of the duties or functions is in breach of a condition of a certificate of competency held by the other person. Penalty: 60 penalty units. (2) An offence against subsection (1) is an offence of strict liability. > Note: For strict liability, see section 6.1 of the Criminal Code.
