#### 25 Duty of persons in relation to domestic commercial vessels (1) A person must not unreasonably cause, or do an act or omit to do an act that may cause, the loss or destruction of, or serious damage to, a domestic commercial vessel. (2) A person must take such actions as are reasonably practicable to prevent the loss or destruction of, or serious damage to, a domestic commercial vessel. (3) Without limiting subsection (1), a person contravenes that subsection if the person prevents or restricts the master of the vessel from making or implementing a decision that, in the professional opinion of the master, is necessary for the safety of the vessel.
