81 Declaration in relation to waters requiring local knowledge certificates for navigation in those waters Safe Transport Victoria, by notice published in the Government Gazette, may declare a part of State waters as waters in respect of which a local knowledge certificate is required to navigate types or classes of vessel specified in the notice. Note to s. 81 amended by No. 34/2023 s. 127(Sch. 1 item 7.22). In making a declaration under this section Safe Transport Victoria must have regard to guidelines made by the Minister under section 31A of the **Transport Integration Act 2010**: see section 258(2).
