280 Safe Transport Victoria must co-ordinate and support implementation
S. 280(1) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 127(Sch. 1 item 7.155(a)).
(1) Safe Transport Victoria must co-ordinate and support the implementation of the Marine Enforcement Policy by—
S. 280(1)(a) substituted by No. 37/2014 s. 10(Sch. item 107.11).
(a) police officers;
(b) transport safety officers;
(c) any person employed or engaged by port management bodies, local port managers and waterway managers.

(2) For the purposes of co-ordinating and supporting the implementation of the Marine Enforcement Policy under subsection (1), Safe Transport Victoria must provide training, guidance and support to transport safety officers who monitor compliance with, and enforce, a relevant marine safety law.

(3) In addition to subsection (2), Safe Transport Victoria may co-ordinate and support the implementation of the Marine Enforcement Policy in any other manner Safe Transport Victoria determines to be appropriate.
