263 Recovery of costs Safe Transport Victoria may recover as a civil debt in any court of competent jurisdiction— S. 263(a) amended by No. 10/2016 s. 165. (a) the cost of doing something under section 261 from the port management body, the port of Melbourne operator, the local port manager or the waterway manager to which that section applies; S. 263(b) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 127(Sch. 1 item 7.138(b)). (b) the reasonable charges and expenses incurred by Safe Transport Victoria from the master or owner of the vessel to which section 262 applies.
