262 Safe Transport Victoria may cause vessel to be boarded, moved, secured or operated in certain cases S. 262(1)(a) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 127(Sch. 1 item 7.137 (a)(b)). (a) there is no person on board a vessel to whom Safe Transport Victoria may give a direction under item 24 of Schedule 1 and there are reasonable grounds for Safe Transport Victoria to act urgently without giving the direction; or S. 262(1)(b) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 127(Sch. 1 item 7.137(a)). (b) a direction given by Safe Transport Victoria under item 24 of Schedule 1 is not complied with. S. 262(2) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 127(Sch. 1 item 7.137 (b)(c)). (2) Safe Transport Victoria may cause a person authorised by Safe Transport Victoria to board the vessel and move, secure or otherwise operate it.
