252 Grant of pilot licence
S. 252(1) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 127(Sch. 1 item 7.124).
(1) On receiving an application under section 251(1), Safe Transport Victoria may grant a pilot licence to the applicant if Safe Transport Victoria is satisfied that the applicant—
S. 252(1)(a) amended by No. 55/2017 s. 25(1).
(a) has the appropriate qualifications, competencies, medical fitness and experience to hold a pilot licence; and
S. 252(1)(b) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 127(Sch. 1 item 7.124).

(2) A pilot licence granted under subsection (1) may be granted subject to conditions imposed by Safe Transport Victoria.

(2A) Conditions imposed by Safe Transport Victoria may include conditions requiring the pilot to maintain the pilot's competencies and medical fitness.
(3) A pilot licence granted under subsection (1)—
(b) remains in effect unless suspended or cancelled.
