192 Consultation for the purpose of assessing appropriateness of urgent safety rule S. 192(1) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 127(Sch. 1 item 7.73(a)). (1) For the purpose of making a decision under section 191, Safe Transport Victoria must invite submissions and comments from the public in accordance with this section. S. 192(2) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 127(Sch. 1 item 7.73(b)). (2) Safe Transport Victoria must— S. 192(2)(a) substituted by No. 55/2017 s. 16. (a) publish notice of the assessment of the urgent safety rule— S. 192(2)(a)(i) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 127(Sch. 1 item 7.73(c)). (i) on Safe Transport Victoria's Internet site; and S. 192(2)(a)(ii) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 127(Sch. 1 item 7.73(a)). (ii) in some other way that gives notice of the assessment to persons who Safe Transport Victoria reasonably believes will be affected by the urgent safety rule; and S. 192(2)(b) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 127(Sch. 1 item 7.73(c)). (b) make copies of the urgent safety rule available to the public on Safe Transport Victoria's Internet site and at a prescribed place during business hours free of charge. (3) A notice under subsection (2)(a) must— (a) include a summary of the urgent safety rule; and S. 192(3)(b) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 127(Sch. 1 item 7.73(a)). (b) specify the date by when a submission or comment must be made to Safe Transport Victoria; and S. 192(3)(d) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 127(Sch. 1 item 7.73(c)). (d) specify that copies of the urgent safety rule are available on Safe Transport Victoria's Internet site and at the prescribed place during business hours free of charge. (4) The period of time between publication of the notice and the date specified in the notice must not be less than 4 weeks.
