81 Definitions Australian Maritime Safety Authority has the meaning it has in the Australian Maritime Safety Authority Act 1990 of the Commonwealth. cargo includes ballast and ships' stores and fuel. Intervention Convention means the International Convention Relating to Intervention on the High Seas in Cases of Oil Pollution Casualties. maritime casualty means: (a) a collision of ships; (b) a stranding or other incident of navigation; or (c) any other event on board a ship or external to it, resulting in material damage or imminent threat of material damage to a ship or cargo.
