56 Production or display of authorised officer's identity card (1) Before performing a function or exercising a power in relation to: (a) a person; or (b) land, a vehicle, ship or premises, the authorised officer must produce his or her identity card to: (c) the person; or (d) a person apparently in charge of the land, vehicle, ship or premises, as the case may be, if the person requests to view the card. (2) If a request is made to view the authorised officer's card: (a) the authorised officer; and (b) a person authorised by the officer under section 62(1)(h), is not entitled to perform a function or exercise a power in relation to the person, land, vehicle or premises until the card is produced to the person making the request.
