The objects to be achieved for the go slow area for turtles and dugongs are— to protect turtles and dugong; and to protect the habitat of turtles and dugong; and to minimise the harm or distress to, and the number of deaths of, turtles and dugong caused, directly or indirectly, by human activity, including, for example, the navigating of vessels.
