8 Control
8.1 The Manager, Ship Inspections, or a survey authority may issue a document called a Certificate of Approval as evidence that a particular item of equipment or arrangement, or make or type of equipment, has been approved under this Part.
8.2 A Certificate of Approval remains in force until such date as is shown on the certificate, and may be renewed for a further period if the survey authority is satisfied that the item of equipment or arrangement, or make or type of equipment, continues to comply with this Part.
8.3 A Certificate of Approval may be revoked if the Manager, Ship Inspections, or the survey authority is satisfied that the item of equipment or arrangement, or make or type of equipment, no longer complies with this Part.
