10.1 The master of a ship must use any mandatory ships’ routeing system adopted by the IMO that applies to the ship or its cargo, unless there are compelling reasons not to do so.
10.2 Any reason not to use a mandatory ships’ routeing system must be recorded in the official log book of the ship.
