49 Heating
(1) The owner of a vessel must ensure that seafarer accommodation areas on the vessel, other than refrigerating chambers, have a heating system that meets the requirements mentioned in Schedule 6.
(2) The owner of a vessel must ensure that power for the operation of the heating system is available at all times that seafarers are living or working on board the vessel.
(3) This section does not apply to a vessel that operates in tropical waters only.
