### 84 Acceptance or rejection of Minister's decision
> > (1) An applicant is to advise the Minister, by notice in writing, within 3 months after service of the notice referred to in [section 83](#GS83@EN) [(3)](#GS83@Gs3@EN) of acceptance or refusal to accept any proposed variation, condition or restriction.

> > (2) The Minister is not required to take any further action in respect of an application to which [section 83](#GS83@EN) [(1)](#GS83@Gs1@EN) [(b)](#GS83@Gs1@Hpb@EN) applies until the Minister receives the notice referred to in [subsection (1)](#GS84@Gs1@EN) .

> > (3) If an applicant refuses to accept any proposed variation, condition or restriction or fails to give a notice –
> >
> > > > (a) the applicant is taken to have elected not to proceed with the application; and
> > >
> > > > (b) the application is taken to have been withdrawn.

> > (4) If the Minister approves an application under [section 83](#GS83@EN) [(1)](#GS83@Gs1@EN) [(a)](#GS83@Gs1@Hpa@EN) or an applicant accepts any proposed variation, condition or restriction, the Minister, as soon as practicable, must –

> > > > (a) cancel the lease to which the application relates; and
> > >
> > > > (b) issue the applicant with a separate lease in respect of each area into which the area comprised in the original lease is being subdivided.
