> > (1) This Regulation and the [Marine Estate Management (Management Rules) Regulation 1999](/view/html/inforce/current/sl-1999-0102) do not apply to or in respect of any activity carried out by or under the direction of the Commonwealth Department of Defence (including any arm of the Australian Defence Force).

> > (2) This clause does not prevent the relevant Ministers from entering into an arrangement with the Commonwealth with respect to the activities of the Australian Defence Force in marine parks.
