10 Prerequisites to issue of licence
Before MAST makes a determination under regulation 12 in respect of an application for a pilot's licence, MAST is to be satisfied that the applicant has –
(a) undertaken any relevant trips and training and passed any examinations specified in the Marine Pilotage Code; or
(b) undertaken such other trips and training and passed such other examinations as MAST is satisfied are equivalent to those specified in paragraph (a) .
