sec.82 Change of name does not affect legal personality etc.

The change of name of the Authority from ‘Major Sports Facilities Authority’ to ‘Stadiums Queensland’ does not— affect the entity’s legal personality or identity; or affect a right, entitlement or liability of the Authority or anyone else; or make legal proceedings by or against the Authority defective. Without limiting subsection (1), the change of name of the Authority does not affect any right, entitlement, liability or benefit the Authority would have had or enjoyed apart from the change of name. In addition, but without limiting subsection (1), a legal proceeding that could have been started or continued by or against the Authority under its former name may be started or continued by or against it under its new name. s 82 ins 2008 No. 15 s 8 (sec.82-ssec.1) The change of name of the Authority from ‘Major Sports Facilities Authority’ to ‘Stadiums Queensland’ does not— affect the entity’s legal personality or identity; or affect a right, entitlement or liability of the Authority or anyone else; or make legal proceedings by or against the Authority defective.
