30 Seized goods not claimed are forfeited
(1) Seized goods are forfeited to the Commonwealth if a claim for the release of the goods is not made within the claim period for the goods. (2) However, if the Comptroller‑General of Customs allows a late claim for release of the goods (see section 31), the goods are taken not to have been forfeited.
