6 Declaration of AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 as major event
(1) For the Act, section 5(1) the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 is declared to be a major event.
Note—
The Act, section 5A(1) enables the Minister to, by order published in the Gazette, specify certain matters in relation to a declared major event.
(2) For the Act, section 5(4), the AFC Women’s Asian Cup comprises a women’s football tournament sanctioned by the Asian Football Confederation and associated events taking place in New South Wales during the major event period at the major event area.
Note—
The Act, sections 4B and 5A provide for the major event area to be declared and the major event period and area to be specified by the Minister by order published in the Gazette.
