sec.20 Assessing building work

This section applies to a building certifier engaged to assess building work for the purpose of giving a compliance certificate for section 78 (3) of the Act . Before giving a compliance certificate for the building work, the building certifier must— consult Queensland Fire and Rescue about a special fire service or any work involving a fire-related performance solution for the building work; and if the building work is for a building or structure that is proposed to have a special fire service or involves a fire-related performance solution—obtain and consider a report from Queensland Fire and Rescue on the suitability of the proposed special fire service or fire-related performance solution.
